Chalmers University of Technology is well represented at EVS 38 with 20 speakers in the scientific program and a large number of additional research experts in Chalmers' booth at the exhibition. At the exhibition, students from Chalmers University of Technology will also showcase the interdisciplinary student initiatives Chalmers Solar Team's solar-powered vehicle and the Chalmers Formula Student's racing car.

Meet the researchers, visit us in the booth!

Come join us us at booth B3-02 to discuss electromobility with researchers and students from Chalmers University of Technology representing a broad field of research areas.

Program in Chalmers' booth

Monday 10:00-12:00

Hydrogen – challenges and opportunities in the green transition

The transport sector is facing its greatest transformation in modern history. Aviation, shipping and heavy road transport must go fossil-free – but batteries alone won’t get us there. Could hydrogen be the missing piece in the electrification puzzle?

Join us for a deep dive into hydrogen's role in the transition – from safe sensors to smart integration with battery-electric systems and electrofuels.

Tomas Kåberger (moderator), Sonia Yeh, Tomas Grönstedt, Maria Grahn, Joel Löfving, Athanasios Theodoridis.
Monday 14:00-16:00

Curious about drones, autonomous flying vehicles, and the future of air mobility?

Urban Air Mobility is a technological revolution soon part of our everyday lives in everything from air taxis to emergency services, medical transport and disaster relief – both in cities and rural areas.

Meet researchers and students at Chalmers who are driving the development within advanced aviation, watch real drones in action and try them out with VR technology.

Tuesday 09:00-12:00Batteries: From Atom to Cell

Learn more about Chalmers' activities related to batteries from atom to cell, including production. Experience battery technology firsthand! Watch as our researchers prepare and coat electrodes with doctor blade technology, then cut and assemble coin cell batteries.

Various applications of extended reality in the upskilling and reskilling of shop floor operators will also be showcased. For instance how VR can be used to train personnel in a battery assembly plant to work more safely and to develop safety awareness and behaviour and to be more prepare for the worst case scenario.
Julia Maibach, Jinhua Sun, Nitish Kumar,  Zhe Qu, Martina Petranikova, Björn Johansson, Henrik Söderlund, Torsten Wik, Patricia Huijbers.
Tuesday 12:30-14:00Swedish Electromobility Centre

Meet the researchers in Swedish Electromobility Centre, the national competence centre for electromobility hosted by Chalmers. Gathering leading academia and industry experts, the centre’s research covers all aspects of electromobility – from intelligent vehicles and systems, electric drives and charging, and energy storage to environment and society and vehicle-grid interaction.
Linda Olofsson, Jonas Fredriksson, Anders Nordelöf, Frances Sprei, Anders Grauers, Torbjörn Thiringer,  Pedro Anchustegui Balner.
Wednesday 11:00-12:30

Powering Zero-Emission Freight: Insights from Cross-European Collaboration

Decarbonizing freight transport is vital for climate goals, but scaling up charging infrastructure for heavy trucks remains a major hurdle. In this session, researchers involved in the EU project Macbeth will highlight European collaboration, real-world data, and megawatt charging pilots that can help Sweden and the EU accelerate the shift to zero-emission freight.

Frances Sprei, Patrick Plötz, Todorov Yancho among  others.
Wednesday 12:30-16:00Chalmers Formula Student and Chalmers Solar Team

Bridging the gap between education and industry – meet the students behind the interdisciplinary student initiatives Chalmers Formula Student and Chalmers Solar Team. Hear them tell all about the road to their formula racing and solar powered vehicles that are are taking them across the globe  – and now are being showcased in the EV showroom.
