Students are increasingly using generative AI to write, solve maths problems and code. When used correctly, systems such as ChatGpt, Gemini, GitHub and Copilot can help students learn more and go deeper in their quest for knowledge. But the new technologies also pose risks such as impaired learning and cheating, as well as security risks when sharing information with the companies behind the tools
