Prelude to ACE Summer Party 2024

In May 2024, the 100th doctoral student will defend her doctoral thesis since the establishment of the Department, setting the scene for a summer party that will start with parallel seminar activities and study visits to which current staff as well as former doctoral students, Departmental advisory team and other external guests are invited.

Three persons with inside perspectives – Jörgen Blennow, Karin Karlfeldt Fedje & Jacob Sahlqvist  – share their thoughts in a conversation with Johan Linton.

FUSE is an innovative makerspace and laboratory that serves as a creative hub for education, research, industry, and the community to come together and bring ideas to life. It is the home of the Tracks initiative, a unique educational program at Chalmers that focuses on learning and learning environments, preparing the university for the future.

Guided viewing of Chalmers School of Architecture Diploma Exhibition 2024

Welcome to this year's big diploma exhibition within the architecture programme at Chalmers! This year's edition of the diploma exhibition includes over 100 projects; come and see what engages the architects of the future and participate in the contemporary architectural conversation.

The graduation exhibition can be visited at Ljusgården in the SB building, Sven Hultins gata 6, between May 27 - June 7.

The exhibition presents thesis projects from the two master programmes Architecture and Planning Beyond Sustainability and Architecture and Urban Design.
Students do their thesis project in one of the following profiles:

  • Architectural Experimentation
  • Building Design and Transformation
  • Building Design and Transformation for Sustainability
  • Architecture and Advanced Programmes
  • Society, Justice, Space
  • Urban and Rural Design and Planning
  • Urban design

Location: WET Lab and Structures lab in SB3; follow signs

Visit some of our research labs, inhale the lab atmosphere and take the chance to see some experiments prepared by:

  • Water Environment Technology: Water Environmental Technology lab shows plants
  • Structural Engineering:  Structural engineering lab shows a concrete beam under cyclic loading.

Stop by the Division of Building Services Engineering and experience some ventilation related laborations and a poster exhibition.
