Welcome to attend the inauguration lecture of Keith Hampson as Affilierad Professor at ACE. Keith Hampson will be connected to the division and research area Construction Management and Engineering.

Abstract:

The global construction industry operates against a backdrop of complex problems - industry fragmentation, intense competition and new challenges and opportunities, including digital/AI applications, societal expectations around sustainability and increasing demand for packaged construction services often involving public-private partnerships. Addressing this complexity creates key opportunities to raise the industry’s performance. Greater genuine collaboration across industry, government and higher education/research is necessary. In this context, Keith will discuss the history of Australia’s Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre (SBEnrc) and its efforts in bringing together industry, government and researchers to focus on long-term sustainability needs.
