This year, Academic Pride will be held at Pedagogen, University of Gothenburg. The theme is "Transgender conditions in the workplace”. The programme consists of a half-day of lectures on 15 May, and the University of Gothenburg, together with West Pride, also invites you to a film show on the same theme on 14 May.
“Academic Pride is an important and inspiring event, where we have the opportunity to increase our knowledge to continue developing a more inclusive work environment,” says Maria Elmquist, Deputy President for leadership and equality at Chalmers.
“This year's theme highlights transgender people's experiences of the study and working environment in academia, as we know that many people experience vulnerability. By creating dialogue and increasing knowledge and awareness, we want to contribute to a more inclusive and fair working environment in academia,” says Maria Elmquist, who is one of the opening speakers on 15 May.
