Students from your high school now have the opportunity to take part in a scientific conference on AI and Quantum Science, hosted at Chalmers on 24–25 November.

They will be able to attend inspiring lectures by leading researchers, while also getting the chance to meet others with similar interests and take part in activities on campus.

This is a unique opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge in these research fields, as well as to share their experiences with their classmates. Registration is required!

What does it mean?

The symposium will feature exciting lectures and discussions that dive into the latest groundbreaking discoveries and innovations. Among the speakers are Michel Devoret, professor at Yale University, and Pablo Jarillo-Herrero from MIT, as well as other well-known international researchers. The speakers will present their research, and high school students will also have the opportunity to ask questions. The event will be moderated by the researcher Emma Frans.

At the symposium, participants will explore fascinating quantum phenomena and learn how researchers work to understand how materials and the building blocks of life function at the microscopic level. They will also gain insight into how modern AI and machine learning are used to uncover nature’s secrets. In addition, they will get a glimpse of the computers of the future, with new ideas and discoveries that could lead to both more sustainable and more powerful ways of computing and problem-solving.

All lectures are in English. In the hall, alongside high school students and teachers from across the country, there will be researchers, PhD students, and university students. There will also be activities, dinners, and campus tours for the students. This is a great opportunity for them to meet other students with similar interests while gaining a firsthand look at what it’s like to study at Chalmers.
