Post Doc, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Christian Müller Group

Azadeh Soroudi is a post-doc researcher in the Müller group, with major interests within polymer processing, formulating, and nanocomposites. Her current research mainly focuses on development of new electrically insulating polymer-based material for next generation of high voltage direct cable systems (HVDC). HVDC is an important part of future power grids that seamlessly interconnects the renewable energy sources such as wind and solar energy. The goal of the project is to improve the current technical and operational limitations of insulating layer in HVDC cables, through introduction of alternative or novel polymeric compounds.
