Matts Andersson

Adjunct Professor at the division of Product Development, Department of Industrial and Materials Science

Matts Andersson is a dentist and researcher in how to most effectively create human spare parts for the body. This can apply to both parts of the lost teeth and jaw bone loss, but also other parts of the body such as the hips and knees. He has a background in industry where he has created industrial manufacturing systems for dental crowns and bridges. The old production methods, especially in dental technology changes rapidly and replaced by computer-controlled milling machines and rapid prototyping machines. Important parts of the research is exploiting the knowledge available on the geometry assurances and apply it to the rehabilitation of the human body. Another part is to contribute to the new technology becomes cost effective.
