Giuliana Cosentino

Researcher, Department of Space, Earth and Environment, Astronomy and Plasma Physics.

Giuliana Cosentino is Cosmic Origin Postdoctoral fellow whose main interest is on massive star formation.
The main focus of her research is the characterisation of the physical and chemical processes associated with the dense part of the Interstellar Medium (ISM), through observations of molecular tracers at mm and sub-mm wavelengths. The final goal is to understand how these processes can led to the formation of massive stars.
Giuliana Cosentino is the PI of the large observing program SHREC, which use the 12m antenna at the Arizona Radio Observatory to observe the shock interaction between molecular clouds and supernova remnants.
