Lars Jonasson

Lars Jonasson is a physical oceanographer and is employed by the division for microwave and optical remote sensing. His research interest is numerical ocean modelling with focus on interdisciplinary applications. As a postdoc at Chalmers his work is focused on optimizing ship routes by combining remote sensing data and ocean forecast from numerical models. The aim with this research is to develop a product that can be used by the shipping industry to reduce fuel cost and ship emissions.
