Being a mentor means encouraging and assisting another student with planning and structuring their studies. A great way to have an instructive extra job! To become a mentor, you must be admitted to year two or later at a programme/course at Chalmers. As a tutor for Chalmers Pluggstöd, you assist primary and secondary school students with their maths and science homework. The project involves collaboration with schools and organisations, and tutoring takes place on their premises.
Usually, you will team up with an adult in charge of the school/organisation and a group of 6-8 pupils. One reason for the undertaking is to boost an international atmosphere, and thus, we strive to pair a Swedish and an international student on every occasion.
