Christian Azar was included in the Nobel peace prize 2007 due to his work in the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, IPCC
"for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change."
Nobel lectures in Gothenburg by Laureates
The Nobel Events traditionally includes a University Program, featuring visits by Laureates to some 20 Swedish and Norwegian institutions of higher education for three days of open lectures, discussions etc. The program most often includes a visit to Gothenburg; to Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg.
