Pre-VITS is a pre-study which will perform a feasibility study to determine the potential and challenges for introducing more advanced virtual tools for service, maintenance and product take-back flows.
The vision of the project is to increase the effectiveness in late stages of the product lifecycle. In these stages the work should be efficient, predictive and flow oriented stemming from more accurate decisions in terms of economy and environment with a more user friendly and accurate information at hand during product take-back
The results of the project will be descriptions of:
- Present industrially used system
- Proprietary rights on several data sources needed to implement the future system
- The business model and possible actors
- A future more interoperable system and its improvement potential in relation to present practice
