A large number of computational methods for wave energy simulations have been benchmarked in a code-to-code comparison study under the international project IEA OES Task 10. The study covers from simple linear methods to the most advanced non-linear methods. A group of Swedish participants has contributed to the study using advanced non-linear methods. Numerical uncertainty is an issue for the advanced methods and the magnitude of the uncertainty is to a large extent dependent of the experience of the user. The uncertainty can be estimated thru a systematic grid refinement study. A group of Swedish participants will in the suggested project contribute to the international project IEA OES Task 10 thru uncertainty analysis of testcases that were previously defined in IEA OES Task 10. The experience from the uncertainty study will included in a best practice guide for the advanced methods used in the project.
