Smarta radiosändare för framtidens millimetervågssystem
Millimeter wave (mm-wave) communication is a key enabler for improved capacity, quality of service, and speed in next generation wireless networks, such as 5G. Development of cost- and energy efficient mm-wave systems is hindered by the complexity and inefficiency of today’s radio circuit solutions. The goal of this project is to develop a new generation of self-optimizing and efficiency enhanced smart transmitter circuits. Only with such smart plug-and-play solutions can the complexity of emerging communication systems be managed. The project brings together the expertise and infrastructure at Chalmers and Gotmic, and is supported by Ericsson to guarantee the relevance and value of the results obtained. The research is therefore of strategic importance for the long-term competitiveness of Swedish wireless industry in general, and telecommunication in particular.
