By jointly developing new and improved simulation models for drivetrain components in heavy trucks, particularly new concept for reduction of vibrations with effective dynamic absorbers such as double pendulum flywheels and power-split devices, the vibration through drivelines is substantially reduced. It enables faster and more frequent switching and solutions for lower speeds during operation. The proposed project will contribute to both traditional and hybrid powertrains. This leads to reduced energy consumption and reduced carbon dioxide generation. It also reduces external and internal noise leading to increased comfort. Finally, it results to increased life time of drive train components.
