MAXBATT Centre for Manufacturing Excellence - Battery Technology Products and Systems
The electrification of society in Sweden and across Europe will significantly alter the industrial landscape with an unprecedented speed during the coming decades. An important part of this is the development and implementation of battery production and novel value chains from raw material to product. In this context, MAXBATT aims to be one of the leading centres in the world for manufacturing excellence in sustainable battery production. It is envisaged that MAXBATT in 2030 has significantly contributed to a competitive and sustainable manufacture and use of batteries in Sweden with particular focus on the needs of the automotive industry. MAXBATT will hence contribute to the establishment and development of sustainable industry in one of the most critical sectors for global competitiveness, circular production and job creation, contributing to all the impact goals given in the call text. MAXBATT is also set to perfectly match the battery technology development in existing centres like BASE.
