The project addresses the task of taking a service concept from service idea to commercialised, profitable service, specifically in a manufacturing firm context. This project addresses these issues:
1.What approach do manufacturing firms adopt today when they develop new service ideas towards commercialisation? What challenges are experienced?
2.What kind of data and method support is needed at different decision points of the service development process, and how do these differ from the decision points in the development of traditional products?
