This project concerns participatory research in the first phase of Forum för innovation inom transportsektorn, a new national forum for strategies in transport research and innovation by means of cooperation, in order to overcome those boundaries which characterize the transport sector and which are not conducive to innovation.
The purpose of this research is to provide feedback to the project and to create empirical material for academic publications. Feedback will take place through continuous dialogue as well as through a final report which will support the Forums own evaluation of its first phase. The research will be guided by well-established ethnographic methods guided by clear questions.
The overall purpose is to document and analyze the Forum as a social process, in the context of the particular
characteristics of the transport system.
The research is grounded in three different theoretical perspectives on the Forum: as an experiment in innovation; as an indication of change in public-private partnerships; and as an historical process.
