Energy efficient emissions reduction II
The project is based on well established methods , co-operations and results in the on-going project Energy Efficient Emissions Reduction where Volvo Technology and Volvo Cars Corp are partners. In the new project will the co-operation between the companies be more pronounced and the exchange with the universities more intensive. Detailed technical understanding for a selection of important areas is built up within a number of sub-tasks. Those results are evaluated regarding what parameter values that are needed to enable lowered emissions and improved fuel consumption. Next step is to determine which limitations that need to be taken into account. Based on this analysis will four interesting engine concepts be selected to further explore innovative technologies. This combination of in-depth studies and applied testing in engine concepts that is carried out in multi-disciplinary sub-tasks is believed to fulfil the goals of the call in a very good way.
