Current sensor based on graphene Hall device
Purpose and goal: In this project we aim to demonstrate a prototype of current sensor using graphene-based Hall-effect sensors as the core of current sensing. Two important sub-goals in this project are partly; 1) that the Hall-effect sensor meets the temperature requirements of manufacturing and the environment, and 2) that appropriate electronics are developed to operate the sensor. Expected results and effects: The project is expected to generate a prototype of a current sensor that can take advantage of the unique properties of graphene (material level) on another level, from component to system. If the project succeeds, it will enable us to form a consortium of partners for an upcoming potential innovation project. Approach and implementation: The project is expected to last for 16 weeks. Graphensic manufactures materials, coordinates the project, and instructs external actor to design electronics. Chalmers manufactures Hall-effect sensors of graphene, develops temperature-resistant passivation method, and characterizes the components.
