Competence Centre for Catalysis

The Competence Centre for Catalysis, KCK, Period 2014-2017 is a four-year research program, financed by the Swedish Energy Agency, Chalmers and the member companies: AB Volvo, ECAPS AB, Haldor Topsøe A/S, Scania CV AB, Volvo Car Corporation AB och Wärtsilä Finland Oy. At Chalmers the groups of Chemical Physics, Eva Olsson Group, Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry take part in the centre. The vision is to create a better environment with catalytic techniques. The goal with the progam is that KCK should be an interdisciplinary and internationally established research centre within the areas of catalysis for emission control and energy-related catalysis. KCK shall have a high production of scientific papers and be an attractive partner who initiates and performs project together with the industry and other academic groups. Further KCK shall, within its defined fields of activities, perform research within the whole spectrum from fundamental to applied research.
