Research Motivating Problem:
Driving automation features have the potential to improve both traffic safety and transport productivity for road freight transports. How should such safe and highly productive features be realized?
Envisioned product/solution, 2025-2030:
•Driving automation features for highway driving of articulated heavy road freight transports.
Research questions:
•Fundamental scope for FA-TSP. What is common/unique
between passenger cars and commercial heavy vehicles?
•How should the functionalities for FA-TSP developed in project
SafeCorr be further developed and integrated in the vehicle?
Deliverables:
•Functionalities (algorithms) for FA-TSP
•Verification of functionalities (in simulations, test track and public road) together with other functionality in the vehicle, especially incl. new from project Autofreight (FA-TSO, FA-TSM) but also FD-RSiM and FD-VMM.
•Half way to docent in Vehicle Dynamics
