Air drag reduction on trucks by the use of active flow control

The proposed project is laid out as a PhD-project with collaboration between the industry, Volvo, and the department of Applied Mechanics at Chalmes University. The PhD-student will spend the main part of the time at Chalmes mixed with shorter visits at Volvo to facilitate the knowledge exchange. The main academic responsibility lies at Chalmes. Tel Aviv University will be a collaborative partner and perform experimental research which will supplement the numerical research at Chalmers.
