Sometimes we arrange special events for the public at the observatory, with a different program than during regular guided tours. Normally you have to book a place in advance and go with a hired bus to the observatory.

Public events in 2023
In 2023, we have planned three public events.
Saturday 23 September 2023: SOLD OUT Our public event as part of Sweden's Day and Night of Astronomy (Astronomins dag och natt) is arranged in collaboration with Naturum Fjärås Bräcka. Three bus tours starting from Kungsbacka (with a stop at Iseråsskolan in Onsala). Naturum Fjärås Bräcka have more information on each tour, which leave Kungsbacka at 10:00, 11:30 and 13:30.
Public events in 2024
In 2024 we expect to host three public events, during Vetenskapsfestivalen (most likely Friday 19 April 2024), on Mors dag (Sunday 26 May 2024) and on Sweden's Day and Night of Astronomy (a Saturday in September/October). Information on dates for ticket availability will be posted on this page.
