Emmelie develops a new model within retailing

​New doctoral student at TME, autumn 2016: Emmelie Gustafsson researches retail planning within supply chain management. Now she will develop a brand new model within retailing, using digital modeling.
​Emmelie Gustafsson is a doctoral student at Chalmers TME, Supply and Operations Management, and connected to the logistics center Northern Lead.

Emmelie Gustafsson researches retail planning within supply chain management. The research aims at developing a brand new model within retailing, where the advantages of customization are integrated with the benefits of mass production. Emmelie researches opportunities of different actors in the retailing supply chain to introduce digital modeling of consumers and products in ways that enable more value adding and efficient ways of operating.
 
Emmelie holds a Master of Science in Engineering degree from Chalmers, consisting of a bachelor degree in Automation and Mechatronics Engineering and a master degree in Supply Chain Management. She also holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from BTH. Emmelie chose Chalmers because she enjoyed her time here as a student and enjoys the creativity that research implies. Besides researching, she is into bodybuilding and aims at competing in the summer of 2017.
