Searching for Dark Matter Particles

Riccardo Catena, Assistant Professor, Subatomic and Plasma Physics, Department of Physics, Chalmers
Abstract:

Astronomical and cosmological observations provide ample evidence for the presence of invisible mass in the Universe. One leading hypothesis is that the invisible mass, or dark matter, consists of yet undetected particles with interactions at the weak scale. In this talk I will review the evidence supporting this hypothesis, some of the efforts to validate it, and my group's contribution to this challenge.
