How little and few particles can a sensor detect?

​The presence of specific biological molecules in the blood can indicate disease. To be able to diagnose at an early stage, one wants to be able to measure a few of these. Therefore, super-efficient sensors are required.
Christoph Langhammer and his team of researchers are developing nanosensors.
