This trend will continue because of global warming. Improving ice-going performance for existent and future commercial ships becomes pertinent. This lecture provides an overview of structural challenges faced by ice-going ships. The audience will be able to discuss maritime logistics based on maritime transport, maritime informatics, and sustainable maritime transport.
