Jana Sochor appointed member of the Transportation Research Board

​Jana Sochor, researcher at the division Design & Human Factors - department of Industrial and Materials Science, has been appointed as a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on the Effects of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on Travel Choices.
The Transportation Research Board is part of The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in the United States. Standing committees consist of a limited number of members who are nominated for three-year terms.

According to TRB, “as a member, you have been recognized as an expert in your field, someone who can contribute a valuable perspective on current issues facing the profession”.

Jana has has previously served two appointments as a member of the TRB Standing Committee on Innovative Public Transport Services and Technologies (AP020) from 2016 to 2022, as well as two appointments as a member of the former Task Force on Data Privacy, Security and Protection Policy (ABJ55T) from 2016 to 2020, when it became the Subcommittee on Privacy under the Standing Committee on Data for Decision Making (AJE70). Jana has found her ongoing involvement with TRB to be very rewarding, both professionally and personally, as part of the “TRB family”.
