The Electromagnetics Laboratory (abbreviated EM lab) is an assembly of senior researchers and teachers with activities in the scientific field of electromagnetics, which involves both theoretical and experimental work. Here, the term electromagnetics also includes closely related areas such as electrical circuits.
The EM-lab is hosted by the Department of Electrical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology.
World-leading research and education in the scientific field of electromagnetics for a sustainable future
Strengthen the academic excellence in a collaborative environment for research and education in the scientific field of electromagnetics
The EM-lab organizes seminars and workshops on a regular basis throughout the academic year. These activities within the EM-lab can be sub-divided into the three main areas:
"Generalized S-parameter transformations"
Speaker: Petrie Meyer, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Stellenbosch University, South Africa
Seminar #1 2018-09-17
"EM currents for antenna optimization, near-field diagnostics, and EMF exposure"
Speaker: Mats Gustafsson, Department of Electrical and Information Technology, Lund University, Lund
Seminar #2 2018-09-17
"Electromagnetic design and optimization"
Speaker: Sven Nordebo, Department of Physics and Electrical Engineering, Linnaeus University, Växjö
, Professor of Electromagnetic field theory and Director for EM-lab
