WiSE (Women in Science) has invited Bibliometric analyst and Researcher Tahereh Dehdarirad (PhD) from Research support, bibliometrics and ranking at the Department of Communication and Learning in Science at Chalmers.
Tahereh Dehdarirad’s talk will focus on her main research area, which is gender differences in academia, with a specific interest in science. She will give a brief introduction to herself and a brief resume of her academic career to date. She will then give a short introduction into the importance of gender equality and women participation in science and academia, and provide some statistics on women’s participation in science and higher education from EU reports. Tahereh Dehdarirad will discuss her approach to research in this area, and include the results of some of her academic research. After this, there is opportunity to discuss other approaches to gender studies.
This WiSE seminar is arranged in association with the department of Communication and Learning in Science. During the seminar, we offer lunch to participants who register before 12:00 on 9 October.
