​​​What is Quantum Computing and Why Should Computer Scientists be Excited?

Speakers: Anton Frisk Kockum (MC2) and  Devdatt Dubhashi (CSE)​​

Quantum computing is a potentially revolutionary technology creating a big buzz around the world. Anton will give a Physics viewpoint and describe the ambitious effort at Chalmers to build a quantum computer. Devdatt will give a CSE perspective and say a bit about the newly funded SSF project "QuantumStack" to program a quantum computer.

This is the first in a set of three colloquia planned around this topic. Future colloquia will give perspectives from programming languages and high performance computer architecture. 

The event will be hybrid and fika will be served.
