Mikael Terfors, Art Director at Chalmers Communication division, will hold a 1-hour mini-course on different ways to visually communicate science.
Attending the course will give you valuable information and help improve your skills in communicating your research effectively in a visually inviting way. The specific focus will be on poster design. This should be seen as a great opportunity to increase your chances of winning poster awards, both at the S&T day and other occasions!
The following topics will be covered:
• What makes a poster great – and not so great?
• Design for success
• The five-minute rule of research posters
• Chalmers guidelines for posters
• Research posters – show and tell
For the last point, you are encouraged to send in posters to Mikael Terfors in advance at mikael.terfors@chalmers.se, and you will get feedback on your poster design during the course by Mikael and the other participants!
Should you require further information, don’t hesitate to contact stday.kemi@chalmers.se.
On behalf of the poster organizing committee, Martina Petranikova, Johan Larsbrink and Carl-Johan Wallentin.
Although registration is not necessary we encourage you to register at this doodle to give us a hint on how many will come.
