Call for Abstracts

The Urban Freight Platform invites you to submit your abstracts to the 4th VREF Conference on Urban Freight

We are pleased to invite you to submit your abstracts to the 4th VREF Conference on Urban Freight. The theme for the 2020 Conference will be “Urban freight and liveable cities: Interactions between planning, design and business for scalable innovations.” The conference will include a series of presentations of research papers on the basis of submitted abstracts (in oral and poster form); as well as invited presentations, panels and break-out sessions discussing innovative solutions that consider the perspectives from authorities, transport operators, retailers, architects, planners, other industry stakeholders and researchers.
We invite you to submit your abstracts for the first day of the conference (October 14th) when “Current issues influencing urban freight research” will be presented.

The VREF Conference on Urban Freight is still scheduled for 14-16 October, 2020. Given the current circumstance under covid-19 spread, the UFP has decided to postpone the deadline for abstract submission to the 30th of April, notification of acceptance will be given on the 1st of June. This new timeline is reflected in the updated call for asbtracts. We expect to have more information about the pandemic and measures adopted in different countries in June. The UFP will continue assessing the situation and making decisions based on the progression of the pandemic.
