Centre for healthcare architecture (CVA) works to strengthen the academic foundation for a practice-oriented, socially relevant research in the field "Healthcare Architecture" by developing and strengthening research and development collaboration at national and international level, particularly in areas:

  • The physical environment on healthcare, quality and efficiency and its importance for safety, recovery and patient’s experience of the healthcare as a whole (Evidence Based Design)
  • The physical environment, innovation and quality development through architecture and design thinking (Projective Design)
  • The planning process with its roles and tools needed to manage and control the design process and the final quality of results (Design Processes)
  • Architecture for aging
