NOTE: Due to uncertainty with the COVID-19 pandemic spreading in Sweden, the event is changed to an online seminar. See the updated agenda below.
CAM2 offers a Summer School where you get a basic understanding of additive manufacturing (AM) as the industrial method for prototyping and manufacture of advanced metal parts.
When: 25–26 August, 2020
Where: Online seminars from Chalmers University of Technology
About registration: Please, register for the CAM2 Summer School 2020 using link provided below.
Aim
The aim of this seminar is to establish basic understanding of additive manufacturing (AM) as the industrial method for prototyping and manufacture of advanced metal parts.
The course covers:
- Overview of AM technologies
- Pre- and Post-AM treatment
The main focus is placed on powder bed metal additive manufacturing technologies, covering hardware design, powder properties, material properties and post-processing.
Outline
The seminar includes a lecture series that covers introduction to different AM technologies and resulting material properties. A number of guest lecturers from industry (manufacturers of AM equipment and manufacturers of AM parts) will be offered.
Full attendance is required.
