2D-TECH is managed by a director together with a number of Research and Innovation Project Leaders (R&I leaders).
Ermin Malic is the director of 2D-TECH and leads the research in the R&I line Emerging Materials. He is professor at the Department of Physics at Chalmers and is an expert in microscopic modeling of optics and ultrafast dynamics in 2D materials.
Cristina Andersson is the Centre Coordinator. She is also the vice head for Utilization as well as industrial relations officer at the department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience. Cristina has a Master in mechanical engineering (with a major in materials science) and a PhD in the field of reliability of second level interconnects
Vincenzo Palermo leads the research in the R&I line Multifunctional Composites. He is the Vice-Director of the Graphene Flagship, professor at the Department of Industrial and Materials Science at Chalmers and research director of the National Research Council of Italy. He uses nanotechnology and supramolecular chemistry to create new materials for mechanical, electronics and energy applications.
Johan Liu leads the research in the R&I line Sustainable Energy. He is professor and head of Electronics Materials and Systems Laboratory at the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience (MC2) at Chalmers. His research expertise focuses on 2D material based cooling technology, such as ultraefficient graphene heat spreaders.
Herbert Zirath leads the research in the R&I line Electronics. He is professor in high speed electronics at the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience (MC2) and head of the Microwave Electronics Laboratory at Chalmers. His main research interests include millimetrewave applications as well as transistors and circuits for high power applications.
