Call for Papers: "The Future of E-mobility in Europe"

On September 25th-26th 2018 the symposium “The Future of E-Mobility in Europe“ will be held at Chalmers Conference Centre at campus Johanneberg.

Call for papers: abstract submission deadline 30 April 2018

BACKGROUND

Electromobility (or E-Mobility) is a fast growing field, which entails the use electric powertrain technologies, in-vehicle information, and communication technologies and connected infrastructures to enable the electric propulsion of vehicles and fleets. The development of the field is mostly driven by the need to meet emission reduction requirements, by the pressures to make transport more energy efficient, as well as by market demands for lower operational costs.

Despite the rapid growth, a number of challenges are still being seen, from limited availability of infrastructure, to the performance of batteries and the motivation of consumers to engage with E-Mobility. There is thus a need for a better understanding of how the field of E-Mobility is developing in Europe, and for the identification of approaches, processes, methods and tools which may help European countries to better take advantage of the many possibilities E-Mobility offers.

THE SYMPOSIUM

The Symposium will focus on addressing the technical challenges and communicating E-Mobility across various audiences, providing a platform for reflections on research and practice on E-Mobility in Europe and showcasing experiences from research, field projects and best practice to foster E-Mobility among various settings and audiences.
