10. Reduced inequalities

Research teams in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering are studying the impact of buildings and cities on people. Segregation, accessibility and gentrification are examples of current research fields.

The Department of Technology Management and Economics conducts research into the role of science and technology in society, which includes studies into the way in which new technology can cause social inequality.
 
The “Uneven Geography of Migration” project is being undertaken in the Mistra Urban Futures centre. This project monitors how Swedish municipalities have met their responsibility for planning, organising and implementing initiatives to provide housing for those who have recently arrived in Sweden.
