Research
Women are almost twice as likely as men to suffer whiplash injuries in rear-end collisions. However, for a long time the automotive industry only performed its crash tests on a crash test dummy that represents an average man. Chalmers researchers at the traffic safety centre SAFER created a prototype for the world’s first crash test dummy that represents how an average woman moves in a collision.
