Chalmers educates the industry in Lean Port Operations
Chalmers introduces a new education package with several new courses in Transport Management. Researchers from the Division of Logistics and Transportation provides the theoretical content and the education starts off in May 2012.
The course ”Lean Port Operations”, arranged by Chalmers Professional Education, aims at improving the port’s operations using the Japanese Lean-philosophy. The course consists of three full-day modules, mixing lectures, study visit and a Lean-based game where the participants will test the Lean-theory on port operations. The course also includes the relevant leadership issues as well as tools for successful change management.
The contents of the course will mainly be provided by the Division of Logistics and Transportation at Chalmers. For more information, please contact Lars Medbo (email@example.com).
