COPPS - Cooperative Perception Platform for Self-Driving Vehicles

​​Research and development around self-driving vehicles and interconnected mobility/transportation solutions have gained an increased attraction since recent large international competitions in the USA (DARPA Grand Challenges 2004 & 2005, DARPA Urban Challenge 2007) as well as in Europe (Grand Cooperative Driving Challenge 2011, iGAME 2015/2016, ELROB). This technology was even reported to be available for customers around 2020.

The project COPPS focuses on three important aspects to realize a versatile cooperative perception platform for self-driving vehicles, namely:

1. Inner-city environments through the center of Gothenburg
2. Cooperative self-driving vehicles
3. Multi-domain software and system architecture
