Nano for Life Science

From implants to drug discovery and delivery – How can nanotechnology and life science meet future industrial challenges? On October 16-17, the academia and industry will join forces and discuss various issues facing Swedish life science industry. The general public, companies and researchers, everybody is welcome to attend.

When: October 16-17, 2012.
Where: Palmstedtsalen, Chalmersplatsen 1, Göteborg
The convent is free of charge, registration required. Deadline for registration is October 10

The event consists of two half days. Day one inaugurates with inspirational talks, given by speakers both from academia and industry in the fields of nanotechnology and life science. This is followed by a panel discussion about the future potential these technologies might have to the industry and society in general.¨

Day two continues with a workshop with four thematic parallel sections on (i) implants/surfaces, (ii) drug discovery, (iii) sensing/diagnostics, and (iv) medical imaging. Participating in the workshop are representatives from the academia and industry who together will discuss potential solutions to future industrial challenges. The solutions are presented in plenum, which entails the second day.
