SEVS - Safe, Electric and Hybrid novel VehicleS
Seminar 2: "Surrounding World Aspects"

2009-11-17 08:30

The future demands sustainable mobility solutions for people as well as goods. Sustainability solutions demands no or low emissions, safety and affordability. In November 2008, the two Centres of Excellence SAFER and the Swedish Hybrid Vehicle Centre (SHC) hosted a very inspiring seminar on these issues, which resulted in a joint application to FFI, Fordonsforskning och Innovation. With an approval from Energimyndigheten and Vinnova, the SEVS project (Safe, Electric and Hybrid novel VehicleS) was initiated in August 2009. The project is a research project with the following partners: SAFER, SHC, AB Volvo, Autoliv, Sicomp/Swerea, SP, Volvo Cars, VTI, Saab Automobile and Scania.

The project is divided into two subprojects; 1a Scenario Definition and 1b Vehicle Architecture. During this autumn the project is focusing on the Scenario planning process, with the aim at describing the sustainable mobility solutions for goods and people by 2030+.  We have during our workshops identified Key Driver for Change that will shape the future. With these key drivers as a basis we have invited speakers representing different Society perspectives, e.g.City Planning, Energy supply, Life style, Environment, Political and legislation, Transport and logistics.

The purpose with this seminar is to invite you to contribute to the input of the Society perspective to this Scenario Planning Process. Another purpose is to have a dialog with stakeholders and to give feedback to the attendances a year ago.

Welcome!
