Per-Simon Kildal receives prestigious award from IEEE
2011-03-29
Professor Per-Simon Kildal has been selected as the recipient of the 2011 Distinguished Achievement Award of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society:
"For pioneering contributions to design and characterization methods for reflectors, feeds and small antennas utilizing soft and hard surfaces, and reverberation chamber for Over-The-Air measurements."
This prestigious price is very well deserved, and means a lot also for Per-Simon's research group, the Department for Signals and Systems and, of course, Chase and Chalmers. The Award relates to all the three present research areas in the antenna group: Characterization of MIMO antennas, so-called eleven feed antenna for future radio telescopes, and new gap waveguides for use at high frequencies up to THz.
IEEE is the world's largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE's highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.
