The new Department of Radio and Space Science was formed on January 1, 2005, through merging the former department with the same name with two research groups from the Department of Electromagnetics. On July 1, 2010 the department changed its name to Earth and Space Sciences.

We are located in the EDIT-building and the MC2-building at Chalmers Johanneberg, at Chalmers Lindholmen and at the Onsala Space Observatory.
