International Position

The centre involves totally around 43 researchers. The research leaders and the researchers are well established, internationally active and have generated results that have been recognized both by academia and industry.

The percentage of students associated with the centre who’s first degree is from another University is approximately 30% and from outside Sweden approximately 20%.

The measures that have been taken to provide opportunities for students to travel or study abroad are:

  • Costs for PhD students participation in international conferences are covered within each project budget.
  • The centre co-operates with the SSF program ProViking hosted by Chalmers, and all PhD students involved in the centre participate in the ProViking Graduate School. Partial financial support for abroad studies and research visits is provided by the graduate school. Costs not covered by the graduate school or by centre projects are covered by Chalmers.
  • Discussions with the ISAB about students visiting ISAB members universities have been initiated.
