Traditionally, work within product realization, has been carried out sequentially with one task followed by another. To reduce time-to-market there is a great potential in trying to parallelize this work. A number of development activities can be performed independent of each other and can easily be parallelized. Others are dependent upon each other and must therefore be carried out in an integrated way.
