Samuel Lorin is a member of the following project:
LWA
Samuel Lorin is a PhD student within the Geometry Assurance and Robust Design research group. Before he started as a PhD student he received a master of science in engineering mathematics from Chalmers, 2009. His research is focused on simulating geometrical variation for light weight products. The need for light weight components in some products, such as cars, is increasing due to the growing environmental concern. However, knowledge of part variation and how heat is affecting the geometry is needed in the early phase of the development of a new product. The research is performed in close collaboration with industry especially automotive and injection molding industry.
